“Thank you for this paper”is a simple yet powerful message drawn to us from one of the children under SCOT’s care. With a simple act of providing the children with art materials that would help engrave out their creativity, they were eager to show their sincerity to us by utilizing their gifts in an appreciative way by drawing out “thank you” cards.
Children in their nature are eager to explore new things in life for which their eagerness to learn should be guided in the right path to ensure that their ambitions are realized. Being in a state of underprivileged should never be an excuse for a parent to disregard their children from attending school as although they may not realize it now, the economic gain from their children excelling in school may be realized in the long run that could inevitable help their family exit the vicious cycle of poverty.
Merry, a young girl who drew us this card told us that her ambition is to become a doctor. Equipped with great determination, SCOT believes that family, guidance, and support are complementary to ensure that Merry’s ambition is realized in the near future.
