As an effort to give exposure and raising public awareness on the beautiful marine life and corals in the country especially those found in the waters of Pelong Rocks, the Green Project Exchange H-TWO-O was launched yesterday morning. The launching was officiated by the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah.
It was coincided with the presentation of a cheque worth $40,400 from the Chief Executive Officer of Brunei HSBC Bank Todd Wilcox, as the sponsor, to the Minister of Culture Youth and Sports. The sponsor was then presented to the Chairman of the Community Service Programme and Training, Awang Anwar Mohammad.
The programme runs for 7 month and participated by 12 individuals. The project include giving a face-lift on the sea bed along the diving areas in the country. At the same time the project also conducted the coral conservation programme. The project was coordinated jointly by SCOT and Poni Divers.
