As youth who are dynamic, energetic and exposed to new ideas, their participation as partners in the country’s development process cannot be denied. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Youth, Culture and Sports, Datin Paduka Hajah Adina Binti Othman, this morning at the Society for Community Outreach and Training, SCOT annual general meeting 2014/2015 and SCOT Honorary Award 2014 ceremony.
According to Datin Paduka Hajah Adina Binti Othman, SCOT’s participation in the welfare programmes need a leader of high calibre, teamwork and sacrifice of time and high commitment to achieve its objectives. She also hoped that the SCOT’s association will continue to be handled by the youths and can attract more youths to participate. Datin Paduka believes that SCOT members could serve as role models to other youths, to help establish a caring and loving community.
At the ceremony, Datin Paduka Hajah Adina presented the Honorary SCOT Award to Mohammad Fadzil Afifi bin Haji Hussin on his success in various aspects. The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports in Berakas.
