BIBD yesterday treated its clients and partners to a wonderful time as it hosted a Hari Raya open house at the Indera Samudra Grand Hall of The Empire Hotel & Country Club in Jerudong.
Guests were treated to a variety of traditional cuisine ranging from an assortment of Raya cakes and biscuits to satay while being entertained by a local band performing festive hits.
Aside from fostering friendships and showing appreciation towards clients and guests, the celebration was also a time where people from different divisions were gathered under one roof which gave them a chance to interact and to follow the Rasulullah’s (SAW) sunnah to forgive and forget, especially during Syawal, pointed out the Managing Director of BIBD, Javed Ahmad, who was present at the event.
He also congratulated the bank’s staff who were all involved in organising the celebration as they had done an excellent job and the support from guests for making the event a success.
“Of course, I am also proud and humble that our customers and partners’ attendance have also made the event a success,” Javed added.
Also present during the event were His Excellency Min Yongnian, the Ambassador of the Republic of China to Brunei; His Excellency Handriyo Kusumo Priyo, the Ambassador of Indonesia to Brunei; members from the government sectors; representatives from Small-Medium Enterprises (SMEs), members of different Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), Board of Directors of BIBD and members from the Shariah Advisory Body.
