SCOT initiative in right direction
Dear Editor,
I RECENTLY read about the Society for Community Outreach and Training’s (SCOT) initiative in raising funds for a less fortunate family and I am personally touched at how committed and driven these individuals are towards such a noble cause. Not only is their cause worthy of being supported by everyone with a generous heart but it is admirable to see youths taking the extra step towards helping others who are less privileged.
It is obvious that many see our youths as our future and in my opinion, there is no better way than to make them help others in anyway that would open their eyes to the reality of poverty as well as other social ills that affect our country. The youths need to understand the issues in order to address them in the future as their efforts and understanding can further advance the nation’s aspirations and goals.
Let SCOT be an example to all the youths out there who wish to make a change in Brunei and may they always succeed in their mission in eradicating poverty for the country’s future. Hopeful Brunei
